Four Peaks Oktoberfest is returning to Tempe Town Lake for its 46th year this October. The free admission event is open to all ages and features live music, food and drinks, games, dancing and more. The annual fundraiser benefits Tempe Sister Cities, an internationally recognized non-profit. Proceeds from Oktoberfest will be used to send Tempe high school students to ten of Tempe’s sister cities.
Brats, live music, and beer, Four Peaks Oktoberfest is a three-day outdoor Bavarian themed festival featuring 12+ varieties of German beer along with carnival rides, sports and more. The festival is free and open to all ages.
New this year, Four Peaks Oktoberfest will feature gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan food options in their Food Truck Area. The event will host a 4v4 soccer tournament with more teams and a new kickball tournament. Phoenix Rising is a one of the official partner sponsors this year. It will also feature a Weltenburger VIP Experience and additional authentic German music by a band from Regensburg, The Gin Tonics. The popular Das Aubachtal Sextett is returning and performing as well.
Earlier this month, Weltenburger Kloster flew out to Tempe and brewed a collaborative beer with Four Peaks Brewing Company named Freundschaft. It is a Pale Weissbeir projected to be a 7.5% abv. Weltenburger is the world’s oldest monastic brewery dating from 1050 AD. This beer will be served at the event, arriving by a horse drawn carriage at the opening ceremony. It will also be available at select locations leading up to the event.
