5 Spots to Brunch This Weekend
If you're like me, you're already thinking about where you should brunch this weekend. There is nothing better than long talks over lots of food and coffee. I must warn that not all of these places serve drinks but most do, I think. I'm way more of an eater, so that's what I'm usually paying attention too :) Here's where you should go this weekend and what I think you should be ordering.
You could basically get anything from this place and be satisfied. This little spot is unsuspecting and a hidden gem located in Old Town Scottsdale. If you decide to go here, order the Alo Signature Corn Flake Crusted French Toast with fresh berry compote, the Waffle Cristo and one of the omelettes, a hatch chili one, if it's in season.
This has been a hot spot for quite some time and popular round the clock. I recently experienced their brunch offerings and have highly suggested it to friends since. I think you should order the Farmer's Market Skillet and the Crab Cake Benedict. Not feeling like having breakfast food but more on the lunch side, get the crispy chicken sammy.
You don't have to be gluten free to enjoy this Arcadia spot. Waffles and fried chicken are some of my favorites from here, so I'm excited to see that they those two favs and created more dishes. Although it was really hard to stray from the one and only thing I order from here (chicken and waffles), these options are just as mouth watering. Order the waffle breakfast sandwich, the chicken and waffles or the toast special (pictured above is the avocado toast but with a waffle and fried chicken!)
My usual go to at this Sunnyslope restaurant is the fish tacos. I love this spot for it's great outdoor space and atmosphere and their brunch vibe has me going back on the regular. What you should be ordering if you go, the chilaquiles rojos, coco leche french toast and the barbacoa hash. They also have $4 drink specials.
Located around town in Tempe, Scottsdale and downtown Phoenix, this brunch spot has red velvet waffles that make dreams come true and they are gluten free. What else should you try? I hear the froze is fantastic and super appropriate for all brunching and croque monsieur and classic eggs benedict are good choices too.
