Phoenix Cooks Recap

Diana Brandt

Phoenix Cooks was last weekend and if you haven't been, I recommend checking it out next year.

This was my first year attending the event that is put on by IHeartMedia and in true IHeartMedia fashion, they had some of their radio hosts mingling among all the food and up on stage with some of our favorite Chefs. The rows of food did not disappoint and even with all of my training to eat slow and be able to try most of the samples, I failed miserably. I was pretty impressed with the quality of samples, which made it hard to put down and that meant I was pretty full within 30 minutes of arriving.

Good thing for you, the event is quite long. So you have plenty of time to make it a full day of eating and drinking and watching Chefs cook and battle on stage. There's quite a few fun activities, great places to sit and chat and some of the best music bumping through the air conditioned rooms at the Westin Kierland.

There is actually so much going on that I had no idea there was a second room filled with food and a stage! Next time I'll be sure to prepare better.
