Talavera, the signature Spanish steakhouse at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North, invites guests to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a romantic, multi-course dinner that pays tribute to the world’s memorable lovers - real and fictional.
Each course is inspired by one of history’s famous couples.
Marc Anthony and Cleopatra: This course welcomes guests with a Roman and Meditteranean touch – spanakopita bites, dates stuffed with za’atar almond butter, and olive stuffed with spicy Calabrese sausage, which is battered and fried.
Odysseus and Penelope: Drawing from the sea with a distinctive Greek influence, this course features tuna crudo with ajvar, preserved lemon, kalamata olives, dill, shaved cucumber, sea beans and roe.
Gala and Dali: Inspired by Salvador Dalí's intense passion for Gala, this bright dish features beets with honey, crispy jamón, blood orange, payoyo cheese, and red veined sorrel.
Frida and Diego: Presented with bold splashed of color representing the painters’ palettes, there is a choice of two dishes:
Braised short rib served with mole, purple potato puree, mole verde, carrot cascabel, pomegranate and micro veggies.
Or
Barramundi with hibiscus mole, purple potato puree, mole verde, carrot cascabel, pomegranate and micro veggies.
Along with wild mushrooms with epazote, huitlacoche, sesame and cotija for the table.
*Paella Valentina with lobster, pork belly, chichen thigh, saffron and rose petal churrasco also will be available for an additional charge.
Dessert is inspired by Romeo and Juliet – a queso fresco cheesecake, raspberry guava, candied rose topped by two halves of an intertwined spun sugar heart.
Offered on Feb. 14 only, the dinner is $125 person and includes a glass of Ruinart rosé champagne. For information or reservations, please visit www.talaverarestaurant.com or call 480-513-5085.
