Restaurant Opening: Nobu

The wait is over. Nobu is here. Nobu Matsuhisa is set to open his namesake restaurant in Scottsdale on January 27th. The internationally renowned Japanese restaurant opens its new 237 seat, 10,635 square-foot home as part of the Scottsdale Fashion Square luxury wing expansion.

"Scottsdale is a very special city, and a location we have been looking forward to opening for a very long time," said Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. “Scottsdale is a truly unique destination for a special kind of luxury and Fashion Square is at the center of it all," he said.

Chef Nobu rose to fame in the early 1990's with his meticulous approach to sushi and the reinvention of Japanese cuisine. By coupling time-honored classic Japanese dishes with inventive new flavors and cooking techniques, Nobu has become an internationally acclaimed lifestyle brand with over forty restaurant and hotel locations spanning six continents.

A loyal following has made the restaurant a premier global destination for business, fashion, art, and entertainment clientele for nearly 30 years. The first-ever Arizona outpost will serve signature dishes including Yellow tail Sashimi with jalapeño and Black Cod with miso alongside exclusive Scottsdale offerings. A mix of local ingredients will influence both the dining and bar menu. Cocktail connoisseurs will delight in Nobu's ever-evolving collection of original cocktails, curated by mixologists from around the globe.

The restaurant's striking interiors were conceptualized and designed by Studio PCH, with vibrant colors and materials that celebrate Scottsdale's desert aesthetic. The Zen-like minimalist space offers an open, airy feel while bold design elements, earthy materials and luxe finishes provide striking contrast.
