Four Peaks Brewing Co. releases Pumpkin Porter one month early

Four Peaks Brewing Co., Arizona’s largest brewery, announced today that it would be releasing its popular fall seasonal Pumpkin Porter one month early, officially bringing summer 2020 to a welcome close. The beer will be available in grocery stores and independent bottle shops throughout Arizona beginning Monday, August 3, and will be landing in Nevada and New Mexico shortly thereafter.

“By any measure, summer 2020 has sucked,” says Four Peaks co-founder and head brewer Andy Ingram. “So we’ve decided we’re just going to skip the rest of it and go right into fall.”

The August 3 release date is by far the earliest Four Peaks has ever set for Pumpkin Porter—and possibly for any pumpkin beer. But to beer lovers throughout the Southwest, the annual release of Four Peaks’ Pumpkin Porter signifies the beginning of autumn and a welcome shift toward cooler temperatures and the holiday season. By releasing the beer early, the brewery has effectively ended summer.

“At this point, everyone’s over 2020. We just want the year to end. We may still have a few months to go, but at least summer’s over now that Pumpkin Porter’s out,” Ingram says.

To celebrate the launch of the beer in stores, Four Peaks will be selling a limited number of Pumpkin Porter kegs at its brewpub location in Tempe on Monday, August 3. Fans can preorder kegs (while supplies last) at fourpeaksgrub.com. The brewery will also be tapping the beer at the Tempe brewpub on Friday, August 7 and will offer draft discounts and special dishes made with Pumpkin Porter.
