The new fast-casual concept, CHAR’D Brisket Dogs + Burgers, is now open at 1015 South Rural Road in Tempe, across from ASU.
Featuring a brisket beef blend made exclusively for CHAR’D, the hot dogs and burgers are fresh, never frozen and grilled to order. CHAR’D features gourmet toppings, house made chili and mac ‘n cheese with chef driven recipes and sauces.
Owners, Jason Jantzen and Michael Zimmerman, are again the first to capitalize on the hot West Coast trend of elevated, Instagrammable hot dogs to the Valley. In 2016, they launched Ahipoki and were the first to bring the popular, quick-serve poke bowl concept to the Valley. They have since opened eleven locations throughout Arizona.
CHAR’D will offer opening weekend deals starting on Thursday, September 27 through Sunday, September 30 with $2 off any purchase of $10 or more. Hours are 11am – 10pm daily.
Examples of menu items include The Southern Comfort featuring a brisket dog with Mac ‘N Cheese, crispy bacon, crispy onions, BBQ sauce and parsley; the Cali Dog features avocado, tomatoes and pesto aioli; a uniquely named hot dog, the “El Chapo”, features grilled onions, tomatoes, crispy bacon, jalapenos, CHAR’D sauce and a line of white cotija.
The burgers feature an exclusive blend of brisket and ground chuck, smashed fresh and grilled to order which can be found nowhere else. Examples include their signature CHAR’D burger and their Mac ‘n Cheese burger—a cheese lover’s dream with American cheese, Mac ‘N Cheese and BBQ sauce.
CHAR’D is located at “The Wedge” at 1015 S. Rural Rd #106 in Tempe, AZ, right next door to Ahipoki.
