The D-backs will celebrate the Fourth of July this Wednesday with a 7:10 p.m. game against the St. Louis Cardinals and a postgame Fireworks Spectacular, presented by Gila River Hotels & Casinos. Fans are encouraged to arrive early as gates will open at 5 p.m. to accommodate the expected large crowds.
D-backs players and on-field personnel will wear stars and stripes-themed items, including a stars and stripes jersey, cap and socks. Fourth of July game-used items will be available for purchase at D-backs Authentics beginning July 5 to benefit the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation. The Chase Field Team Shop will have the Fourth of July on-field jersey, cap and socks available for purchase along with many other patriotic-themed items. Also available in the Chase Field Team Shop, fans can purchase a bottle of Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select exclusive to Chase Field and get it engraved for free with the 20th anniversary logo or “A” logo and add a custom message.
Fans can also enjoy food items exclusive to Fourth of July and will only be available on Wednesday inside Chase Field:
Stars & Stripes Biscuit Shortcake - Cinnamon-sugar buttermilk biscuit, vanilla frozen yogurt, strawberry sauce, whipped cream, chocolate sauce … will be available at Sweet Treats (sections 106 &114)
Tailgate on a Plate - D-backs dog, baked beans, barbecue sauce, potato salad, cheddar cheese, green onion, soft bun… will be available at Sizzle & Cheese (section 105) and Red Hot Grill (section 118)
Red, White & Blue Nachos - Blue corn tortilla chips, Monterrey Jack cheese sauce, chorizo-red chile beans, sour cream, red pickled jalapenos… will be available at Sizzle & Cheese (section 105) and Red Hot Grill (section 118)
Liberty Lemonade- Bourbon, lemonade, club soda, fresh raspberries and blueberries … will be available at all liquor portables
Back by popular demand, the D-backs will also offer the Apple Pie Chimichanga, which will be available at Sizzle & Cheese (section 105), Red Hot Grill (sections 118 & 322) and Taste of Chase (section 130). In addition, Dutch Bros will have D-backs-themed stickers available for fans at Chase Field Dutch Bros locations at sections 124 and 305.
The D-backs will honor military members in a series of pregame events including:
Ceremonial first pitch by Captain Jack Ensch
National anthem performed by retired U.S. Navy Petty Officer Steven Powell
Folds of Honor pregame recognition with Darren McBurnett, retired Navy Seal, to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. In addition, the proceeds from the D-backs 50-50 Raffle that night will benefit Folds of Honor
The D-backs, Chase and Building Homes for Heroes will present United States Marine Corps Sergeant Daniel Bitsui and his family with the keys to a newly remodeled mortgage-free home in El Mirage on the field prior to the game. During one of his two deployments to Iraq, Bitsui was injured when his company was passing a vehicle that concealed multiple improvised explosive devices and was awarded the Purple Heart
