Enchantment Resort Sedona

View from my room

Enchantment Resort has often been thought of as a closed resort, a place where you couldn't enjoy the restaurants, unless you were a guest. I'm here to tell you that is not true. You can, in fact, enjoy the restaurants (except for the spa area), even if you aren't staying at the property. We were also given a first look at a new exciting addition to the resort that I'll be sharing with you below.

I wanted to first talk about the resort itself, because if you're looking for a place to break away from the craziness of your everyday life, a place to reset and recharge, a place that will fill you up with serenity and peace, this is it guys. This is it! Driving down to Boynton Canyon, you'll begin to be encircled by the gorgeous, tall red rocks. Enchantment Resort is located in the belly and this makes views from your room and hiking, the most spectacular sight. I can't explain how amazing it was to just walk out onto the balcony and be surrounded by the views. Although you could take golf carts to wherever you desired, walking was my preference because of how gorgeous it was outside. Deer frequent the resort and we saw them daily with their babies and there is a hike right out of the gate that takes you up to one of the vortexes within 15 minutes or so.

This is the kind of resort and vacation where you don't need to leave property because they have enough options for food/restaurants, a heavenly spa, multiple pools and plenty of activities on site. However, should you wish to take a Pink Jeep Tour or a guided nature tour or a photo tour of some of the best spots around town, you can do all of those things and more through the resort. They'll book for you and you can get picked up right there at the front lobby. I had a chance to do the Pink Jeep Tour, a wine tour down at DA Ranch and a photo tour, which helped me learn tips and tricks for using my camera. It kept the vacation exciting and let me see a little more of Sedona.

However, as I mentioned, you don't need to leave the resort. The spa amenities are amazing and the options are endless, you might as well fork over the money and do just a Mii Amo vacation. Our favorite pool at the property was also the spa pool, which is kid free and quite comfortable. The spa treatments are heavy into touching your spirit or aura, working with meditation and so much more. I had one that was tapped into my different Chakra areas and it was my first time doing anything like this. I would definitely be interested in doing something like that again, I'm totally into the whole energy and spiritual aspects of our life and working towards balancing those things out in our own bodies, etc.

Enough about those amenities though, I'd like to head into the food. There are 5 different restaurants and the ability to order room service. Each restaurant has a different feel and some are for breakfast or lunch or dinner. There is one located in Mii Amo spa and you must be a guest of the resort to enjoy the Mii Amo Cafe. This restaurant is based on healthy eating and there is also a juice bar located there too. Enchantment Resort will soon be adding on a large garden next to the spa area, that will give them the ability to add in super fresh ingredients, cooking classes and so much more! I know the Chefs are truly looking forward to getting started with it.

Our favorite place to eat for breakfast and dinner was the Che Ah Chi, a more upscale restaurant available on the property. Still a huge focus on seasonal ingredients and modern American cuisine. You'll be able to enjoy the red rock views from you table, as they have floor to ceiling windows. If you are looking for more of a hang out and enjoy some tapas, kind of evening, you should definitely go to View 180. We did this on our first night at the property and it was the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the scenery with new and old friends. They have a huge wine list, the perfect nibbles and the most comfortable way to enjoy friends and the spectacular view. For lunch we enjoyed a more casual meal at Tii Gavo, where we tried all the desserts and I was in heaven!

This is a resort I had never been to and hadn't heard much of prior to my trip. However, I would recommend it highly and would love to go back and stay, next time I'm looking for a peaceful retreat. Even while I'm doing this blog post, I keep thinking about how relaxing it was and how I wish I was back there enjoying nature and the food.
