Four Seasons Staycation

“Mama, I’m sad that we are leaving. I don’t want to go home, I want to stay here.” True words spoken by our four year old as we drove away from the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale At Troon property. What a splendid staycation we had with the whole family and we had a few friends join us for pool time and a dinner. Both stated that they couldn’t believe they were still in Arizona and that compared to other resorts they had stayed at with kids, this one was calm and so peaceful. We couldn’t agree more!

Not only is the property quiet and away from it all but we loved the dining options and all the attention to details. The Saguaro Blossom was our first stop for eating and drinking by the pool. We enjoyed cabanas, drinks out of pineapples and tacos, while the kids enjoyed the pint sized pool just for them. Can I just tell you how great service is, not just at the pool but at every turn, from the guys that drive you to and from the room, to the front desk and in all the restaurants.

Next we enjoyed a Mashup dinner at Talavera Restaurant with guest Chef Cullen from Crudo. Wow! Five courses and wine pairings that blew our mind. We enjoyed tuna crudo, clams, truffle coated veal loin with lobster cannelloni and so much more. Talavera Restaurant is doing these Mashup dinners once a month through the end of the year and next up is Chef Danielle from The Breadfruit and Rum Bar. I can only imagine how exquisite that menu will be!For breakfast each morning we feasted at Proof Canteen on the patio. We sipped our coffee and juices and ate some steak and eggs, sausage scrambles, eggs benedict and some bourbon pecan sticky buns.
