10 Places With Thanksgiving Meals To Go


It’s hard to believe it, but Thanksgiving is coming up later this month. Whether you’re weary from the long year and don’t feel like cooking or want to send some food to loved ones, there are some great deals and family meals being offered at restaurants around the Valley. Here’s a roundup of some good ones to keep in mind.


A few vegan eateries have special Thanksgiving menus. At Green American Restaurant, it is the 13th annual ThanksLIVING celebration. There’s no dine-in available, but pre-packaged meals will be available to pick up both November 25 and 26 at the Tempe location. Be sure to order now as supplies are limited. It’s $27.50 for adults ($32.50 the day of) and $12.50 ($15.50 the day of) for kids 12 years old and under. On the menu is Seitan Turkey Breast with “Giblet” Gravy, Organic Cranberry Stuffing with Toasted Walnuts, Roasted Garlic Smashed Potatoes, Smoked Paprika Organic Sweet Corn, Fried Brussels Sprouts and local artisan breads. At Pomegranate Cafe, you can enjoy a homemade Thanksgiving meal with all of the fixings. The main course is a Pomegranate Glazed Thanksgiving Loaf with Hibiscus Holiday Sauce and Wild Mushroom Gravy served with Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes with Crispy Leeks, Green Bean Casserole, Cornbread Stuffing and Nearly Raw Pumpkin Pie. The dinner is available for one at $24.95 or for a family of four to six at $165.50. Bobby Q is now accepting smoked turkey orders. There’s a Turkey Meal for $99 plus tax that comes with one 12 to 15 pound Turkey, 1 quart of Corn, 1 quart of Mashed Potatoes, 1 pint of Gravy, 1 pint of Cranberry Sauce and 8 pieces of Cornbread. Homemade add-ons are Cranberry Stuffing, Green Bean Casserole and Mac ‘n’ Cheese. There’s also turkey available by itself for $70 plus tax. The Capital Grille is continuing its tradition of offering Thanksgiving fare to enjoy in house or at home. It’s $43 for adults and $15 for children and comes with Slow-Roasted Turkey with Brioche Stuffing, French Green Beans, Cranberry-Pear Chutney and Sam’s Mashed Potatoes for the table. Dessert is $11 Pumpkin Cheesecake. Additional sides at home are Pecan-Crusted Sweet Potatoes with Hot Honey and Seeded Rolls. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse is also offering Thanksgiving in person or as takeout. Pre-order a three-course meal for four to seven people ranging from $180 to $315 or the children’s Thanksgiving meal for $23. There are also large party items like Mac & Cheese and Creamed Spinach for up to 12 guests. The three-course meal comes with a choice of a Caesar Salad or Fleming’s Salad, Mixed Herb-Roasted Turkey Breast (substitute Filet Mignon or Bone-In Ribeye for an additional price) and Carrot Cake or Harvest New York Cheesecake. Roy’s has a traditional turkey dinner available for dine-in or to go. In house, it’s $46.95 a guest or $66.95 with two glasses of paired wines. On the menu is a choice of Lobster Bisque or Caesar Salad with Pan Roasted Teriyaki Glazed Turkey, Portuguese Sausage Stuffing, Haricots Verts, Sesame Carrots, Truffle Mashed Potatoes, Bacon Pan Gravy and Yuzu Cranberry Sauce. Dessert is a choice of Pumpkin Crunch Cake or Chocolate Torte. The dinner to-go features the same options sans salad and cranberry sauce. It’s $65 for two people or $109 for four people. Enjoy Thanksgiving Day at Hearth ‘61 at Mountain Shadows Resort or by bringing the food home. In person, there’s Butternut Squash Soup, a Slow Roasted Two Wash Ranch Turkey Dinner with country gravy, Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes, Chorizo Cornbread Stuffing, Crispy Brussels Sprouts and Cranberry Orange Relish. For dessert, there’s Pumpkin Pie and Butterscotch Pecan Pie. Dinner is $46 a person and $18 for kids, with dessert and soup an extra $10 each. If you want to bring the feast home, it’s $46 a person for all of the items mentioned above plus Parker House Rolls and a whole Pumpkin Pie available for $26 and Butterscotch Pecan Pie for $32. Zuzu at Hotel Valley Ho is also putting on a Thanksgiving special, to go and in person. From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. there’s a chef-attended (no self-serve) starter buffet with items like King Crab Legs, Local Field Greens Salad and a Charcuterie Platter. Turkey with all the fixings is $57 and includes Apple Brined Organic Turkey Breast with Cranberry Chutney, Dark Meat Pot Pie, Sweet Potato Casserole with Marshmallow and Vanilla Maple Glaze, Yukon Gold Whipped Potatoes with Turkey Giblet Gravy, Apple Chestnut Sausage Stuffing and Brussels Sprouts Hash. Dessert choices are Pumpkin Pie, Sweet Potato Spice Cake, Apple PieCaken and Milk Chocolate Crème Brûlée. If you order it to go, you can get an individually portioned dinner or a family-style feast with a half or whole turkey. A whole raw seasoned turkey with all the fixings goes for $299 and a cooked whole turkey and sides is $359. A cooked half turkey is $229, and individual meals are $42 a person. Order the turkeys by November 19 at 5 p.m. and individual meals and $15 festive sweets by 5 p.m. on November 21. Beckett’s Table is offering Thanksgiving sides and dessert to go. All orders must be picked up on Wednesday November 25 from 12 to 6 p.m. Select from Bacon Cheddar Biscuit Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Fall Vegetables, Gravy and Organic Cranberry Sauce. For dessert, it’s Citrus Zest Cream Cheese Ice Cream and Full Fig & Pecan Pie. There’s also a Thanksgiving Sippers 6-Pack with a collection of pre-selected wines available for purchase. Buca di Beppo has small and large hot and cold meal packages to go with pickup taking place between November 23 and 26. Get a small package serving three for $68.99 or a large package serving six for $138. There’s also a half pan serving 10 for $219 and a full pan serving 20 for $399.99.
