10 Places To Dine In On Christmas


It feels like we were just sitting down for a Thanksgiving meal, but now Christmas is almost here. If you want to do something easy this year and not have to cook, we’ve collected a list of places offering a full Christmas spread on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or both. You just need to make a reservation and show up to the restaurant!


The Americano has a special three-course Christmas Eve meal. It’s $105 for adults, $50 for children 12 and under and complimentary for kids ages 2 and under plus tax and an automatic 20 percent gratuity. There’s bread and truffle butter for the table, and you can choose from a first course of Olive Oil Poached Octopus; Foie Gras Torchon; Polenta Cremosa; Roasted Squash and Burrata; and Cocktail di Mare. Main course options are Tajerin Al Tartufo E Funghi; Granchio Campanelle; Roasted Mediterranean Orata; Maple Leaf Farm Spiced Duck Breast; Petite Filet; New York Striploin; and Ribeye. Sides are Pasta Al Pomodoro; Charred Broccoli; and Mashed Potatoes. Finish out the meal with a sweet treat — Christmas Bouche de Noel or Candy Cane and Mint Budino. Lon’s at the Hermosa Inn has you covered on Christmas with a three-course meal. Start with a choice of Kabocha Squash Soup; Hermosa Salad; Sugar Plum Chestnut Salad; Lobster Agnolotti; and Maple Leaf Duck. Main course selections are Prime Rib; Heritage Chicken; Tomahawk Pork Chop; Chilean Sea Bass; and Day Boat Scallop Risotto. Elements Restaurant at Sanctuary Resort has a fancy four-course meal just for you on Christmas Day. Start out with a Celeriac and Black Truffle Soup followed by a choice of Caramelized Onion and Roasted Fig Tart; Ricotta Chive Gnocchi; Escargot Pot Pie; Vodka and Beet Cured Salmon; Poached Pear Salad; or Moules Mariniere for a second course. Then, select from Duck l’Orange; Porcini Dusted Veal Chop; Peanut and Coriander Crusted Red Snapper; Roasted Vegetable Risotto; Roasted Filet of Beef; and Smoked Oyster Gumbo for a main. Don’t forget dessert — the Apple Almond Tarte Tatin; Double Chocolate Silk Tart; Spiced Pear Upside Down Cake; and Caramelized White Chocolate Crème Brûlée all sound delicious. You’ve got your Winter Celeriac and Leek Soup; and Endive, Treviso Baby Kale, Honey Crisp Apple to start followed by Lemon Rosemary Roast Branzino; Porketta with Sage and Fennel; Peppercorn Crusted Roasted Ribeye of Beef; and Bell and Evans Chicken for a main course. Zuzu at Hotel Valley Ho has Christmas Day dining. It’s $56 to $79 per person, depending on entrée selection, and $22 for children 12 and under, plus tax and gratuity. The chef-attended starter buffet has items like Shrimp Cocktail, Crab Claw and King Legs; imported cheeses and bread; and fresh salads. For an entrée, choose from a 14 Oz. Prime Ribeye; Slow Braised Pork Osso Bucco; Truffle Stuffed Petaluma Chicken; Pan Seared Scottish Salmon; King Trumpet Mushroom “Scallops.” Dessert is English Toffee Cheesecake; Eggnog Bread Pudding; and Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée. Hearth ‘61 at Mountain Shadows Resort is offering a Christmas Day brunch and a dinner. Brunch runs from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features specials like Quiche Lorraine; Wood-Oven Roasted New York Striploin; and Chocolate Peppermint Praliné Bûche de Noël. Return for dinner from 5 to 9:30 p.m. for specialties like Lobster Bisque; Wood-Oven Roasted Niman Ranch Prime Rib; and the same dessert as earlier. Items are individually priced. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is offering a dine-in experience on Christmas Eve. You can order off the full dinner menu or enjoy a four-course dinner accompanied by 4 Hall & Walt wine pairings per guest. The entire table must participate, and it’s available in-restaurant only. It’s $99 a person and starts out with an Amuse Booze, a first course of Seafood Louie Salad followed by the second course of Wild Mushroom Grit Toast. The third course is a Petite Filet Mignon and Colossal King Crab Scampi, and the fourth course of dessert is Orange-Zested Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake. Rusconi’s Kitchen is open on Christmas Eve and is offering a special meal for $58 a person plus tax and gratuity, and there are a ton of selections to choose from. For a first course, there’s Roasted Winter Squash Soup; Lobster Bisque; Amish Blue Cheese Salad; Baby Spinach and Frisée Salad with Warm Goat Cheese, a Blue Crab and Shrimp Cake; Boneless Beef Short Rib; and Sonoran Caesar Salad. Next up is the main course — Grilled Breast of Natural Chicken; Roasted Natural Pork Tenderloin; Wood Grilled Aged Black Filet of Beef Tenderloin; Garlic and Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb; Nixon Square Meyer Lemon and Agave Glazed Salmon; and Pan Roasted Wild Sea Bass and Gulf Shrimp.
