Restaurant Opening: Zinqué

Zinqué (zin-kae), a Paris meets Southern California bistro, café and wine bar is expanding from the coast to the desert and will open in December 2019. An iconic locale in California locations: Venice Beach, West Hollywood, Newport Beach, Downtown Los Angeles, and the Little Italy neighborhood of Downtown San Diego, Zinqué will launch its first Arizona outpost at the new luxury wing inside shopping and dining destination, Scottsdale Fashion Square.

Founded in 2012 by Emmanuel Dossetti, a native of Marseille, France, Zinqué was born out of a collective desire to create a simple yet delicious menu with the top-of-the-line ingredients in an effortlessly stylish space mimicking the Euro escapes found in the South of France, Italy and Spain where guests can start with a cup of coffee and end with a glass of rosé.

“We are excited to select Scottsdale as our first location outside of California and offer a day-to-night experience at our European-style eatery,” said Founder Emmanuel Dossetti. “Scottsdale Fashion Square is accessible to the community’s residents, creatives, business professionals and travelers who visit this live, work and play city.”

Zinqué serves guests for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night gatherings. Fresh and well-sourced products are the heart of Zinqué’s eclectic menu with bread imported from the famous Poilâne Bakery in Paris, and craft coffee from La Colombe, the world-renowned coffee roasters. Zinqué thrives on attention to detail with high-quality ingredients such as Époisses cheese from Burgundy (known as the “king of cheeses”). Guests can expect Parisian favorites like freshly baked prosciutto-gruyère and chocolate croissants and tartines for breakfast. The menu extends from salads to sandwiches and wholesome bowls for lunch, and steak or moules frites, charcuterie and cheese plates, flatbreads, and larger plates such as grilled prawns and grilled whole branzino for dinner. Brunch has quiches and brunch faves such as “Le Bowl,” made of brown rice, avocado, tomato, arugula, comte cheese, cilantro and Sriracha.

With an emphasis on organic and sustainable wines, the comprehensive wine list is thoughtfully selected and focuses on independent producers from around the world including French, Spanish, Italian, and Napa Valley wineries. The globally-inspired bar program has apértifs and cocktails such as Aperol spritz and sangria.

Designed to be an inviting space where guests can eat, drink, work, socialize and read, the 2,930 square foot restaurant will feature a main dining room, a stylish wine bar, a 620 square-foot semi-private dining and event space, and outdoor patio dining with a 30-foot tall, 22-year-old oak tree from Moon Valley Nursery. With a chic industrial design from the original Abbot Kinney location in Venice Beach, Zinqué will be an open and airy oasis complete with a fireplace, wooden tables, concrete walls, and stunning wrought-iron windows for creative and business types working and living in Scottsdale as well as visitors.

The mixed indoor-outdoor space boasts a “come as you are” type atmosphere with an international-influenced playlist co-curated by Zinqué’s hospitality staff and clientele, and Saint-Tropez vibes for guests to dine from sunrise until late. The semi-private dining and event room is available for special occasions such as wedding rehearsal dinners, baby showers, birthdays and holiday parties.

Celebrities are frequently spotted at Zinqué’s Southern California locations, including newlywed Hailey Bieber, Joe Jonas, Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid.

Located at 4712 N. Goldwater Boulevard, Suite 110 in Scottsdale, the restaurant will be open Sunday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. For more information about Zinqué, visit www.lezinque.com.
