Creamistry, the popular ice cream shop that combines natural ingredients and a scientific process to create ultra-creamy custom desserts, is set to open its fifth Arizona location at the corner of Gilbert Road and Vaughn Avenue, in Spring 2018.

About the chosen location for his latest Arizona Creamistry franchise, co-owner (and former Arizona Cardinal) Andre Wadsworth says, "Gilbert is a strong Arizona community that has shown great growth and strong family ties, and that matches our own mission of embracing strong communities and families.”

Two years ago Wadsworth and co-owner/real estate expert Ryan Zeleznak opened their first Arizona Creamistry at the Scottsdale Waterfront, becoming the first to bring this process of flash-freezing ice cream treats using liquid nitrogen to the state. They went on to open additional locations in Uptown Plaza at Central Avenue and Camelback Road in Phoenix, Scottsdale Quarter, and on Indian School Road and 44th Street.

At each of these locations, guests can expert a unique twist when ordering “a scoop of ice cream” — as their homemade treat is created from scratch before their very eyes in just minutes. First they select a size and specialty (such as shakes and floats, waffle bowls and more), then they chose an ice cream base (including premium, organic, non-dairy, vegan and gluten-free options such as sorbet and coconut milk) and one of more than 60 flavors (options include birthday cake, sea salt caramel, Madagascar vanilla bean or blood orange sorbet), as well as indulgent toppings like candy, cookies, sweet cereals, cake, fruit or nuts. The concoction is then mixed with liquid nitrogen, which freezes milk crystals at -321 degrees Fahrenheit, making for an impressive “smoky” show before producing the silky smooth and creamy final result. Customers can also select from other decadent dessert options — the “Creamistry Creations” menu features layered parfaits, shakes, floats, and affogatos, as well as chocolate, waffle and brownie bowls.

The newest Creamistry location in Gilbert, at 335 North Gilbert Road, Suite 101, shares a building with a planned OHSO. Wadsworth and Zeleznak are opening additional stores in Arizona over the next several years.
