Event: Smoked!



Arizona Foodie is dialing up the heat to ignite the hottest food event of the season. On Saturday, April 4, at Ocotillo Restaurant, located at 3243 N. 3rd Street, Smoked! returns to the Valley of the Sun, bringing with it a chef-driven “smoke off” hosted by Arizona Foodie and sponsored by Bulleit, Tanqueray, Mezcal Carreno, Seedlip, Four Peaks and Tequila Corrido.


“After last year's successful event, I want to make sure that this year we bring that same quality event to the crowd but make it even better,” says Diana Brandt, owner of Arizona Foodie, who created the Smoked! event to showcase Arizona’s culinary talent and to give guests a unique experience. She adds, “The event is kept smaller and more intimate, so as to have a more relaxed atmosphere where people can eat, drink and have fun with the activations on site. The drink brands bring another creative element to the event where guests can interact and create something to take home or experience something fun, as well as sipping on unique cocktails.”



During the event, creative and delicious showstoppers using an element of smoke — ranging from smoke machines to cooking over fire — will be presented by some of the Valley’s most prominent chefs and culinary hotspots including:

With each ticket, guests can enjoy sampling the smoked bites and/or bevvies from each station, smoked cocktails from all the sponsors. Bulleit will have smoking their cocktails and Tanqueray will have a fortune teller at their station, and lots of interactive entertainment such as a DJ, firebreather, magician and more. Full-sized cocktails are available for purchase as well.



Tickets for Smoked! include food and drink samples from each station and all the activities and fun surprises for which the event has become known. General admission is $40 per ticket; VIP tickets, which include exclusive early entrance at noon, are $50. Proceeds go to Lucky Dog Rescue, a local animal shelter that Brandt, a dog lover and rescue “mom,” is proud to support.
