Events: Celebrity Fight Night


Celebrity Fight Night announced 5-time Grammy nominee Flo Rida will be the Featured Entertainer at the 26th annual celebration on Saturday, April 4th at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa.Flo Rida joins Grammy Award-winning leading lady of country music and 16-year Emcee Reba McEntire, to kick off this year's event. Other celebrities attending or performing include Emmy- winning talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, 16-time Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer David Foster, Television and Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth, Vocalist trio The Tenors, American Idol alum Pia Toscano, Violinist Caroline Campbell,


America’s Got Talent rising star Emanne Beasha, The London Essentials, and more to come.Flo Rida, most notably known for his songs “Low” and “Right Round”, is a renowned singer and songwriter. In 2007, his song “Low” was #1 for 10 weeks in the U.S. He has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists. In 2014, he was awarded the World Music Legend Award for Outstanding Contribution to Dance Music Industry.“I am thrilled and honored to perform at this year’s Celebrity Fight Night,” said Flo Rida.


“Celebrity Fight Night hosts some of the biggest stars every year and we are looking forward bringing some fun energy to another special evening this year. This event focuses on helping those who have been affected with Alzheimer’s and dementia, something that has touched us all one way or another.”For the 26th year, celebrities and professional athletes from all over the world will unite for an action-packed evening filled with incredible live auction items and musical performances by many of today’s hottest stars. Proceeds raised will support the Alzheimer’s and Memory Disorders Program at Barrow Neurological Institute, as well as several other charities.Special honorees for the evening include Jimmy Kimmel, Kristin Chenoweth, baseball legend Reggie Jackson.


Recent statistics show 1 out of 20 people at the age of 65 will have Alzheimer’s. That number increases to 1 out of 10 when a person reaches the age of 75. The medical professionals at Barrow’s Alzheimer’s Program and Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center are housed in the same area and are working diligently and collaboratively to find cures and provide
